Two-day meeting launches new brand, website and Roadmap.

Over the last two days, the OCBCC’s Board of Directors and Provincial Advisory Council met in Toronto to think, learn, and plan together. We appointed a new Council and elected a new Board. 

Under the leadership of our Board President, Christa O’Connor RECE, the Council analyzed the state of early learning and child care in Ontario, set priorities, and provided strategic direction for our organization – putting vision into action.

Our Policy Coordinator, Carolyn Ferns, presented our new Roadmap to Universal Child Care in Ontario – an anchoring document for our organization. The Roadmap puts our shared vision for ELCC into action through 21 concrete policy interventions.

Our Membership Coordinator, Kim Mantulak, reported on the amazing growth of the OCBCC’s benefits plan, which is now providing comprehensive health benefits to nearly 3000 RECEs, child care workers, and their families across Ontario.
