Ontario has signed a four-year extension to their child care agreement, but advocates are slamming the new plan for freezing wage improvements, stalling fee reductions, and making no new commitments to make affordable child care available for more families. The Ford government is finally back at Queen’s Park at the end of October, and we’ll be ready! Join the OCBCC, the AECEO, the OFL, CUPE Ontario, Parents for Child Care, and more of our members, partners and allies for a rally on Thursday October 29th at noon on the South Lawn of Queen’s Park. We’ll be calling on the Ford government to immediately raise ECE wages, and deliver on affordability, decent work, and end the waitlist crisis for families.
More details coming soon.
Date: Thursday October 29th, 12pm
Where: Queen’s Park, South Lawn
