OCBCC on Parliament Hill

by | Oct 6, 2025 | Past Events

In September, OCBCC’s Policy Coordinator, Carolyn, joined child care advocates from across the country in Ottawa for a strategy session organized by Child Care Now. We talked together about how to “keep our foot on the accelerator” to continue pushing forward for an early learning and child care system with affordable fees, decent work, and spaces for all.

During the trip, a delegation from Child Care Now had the chance to meet with Minister for Jobs and Families, Patty Hajdu. We brought our message right to the Minister’s office. The federal government must urgently sign a new funding agreement with Ontario, and strengthen and expand the $10aDay plan from coast to coast to coast.

You can make sure your politicians hear our message. Send them an email today with our one-click action.

A meeting of child care advocates is visited by MP Karina Gould.
