We are Families Across Ontario Concerned About the Future of Child Care for Our Kids

Child care is finally getting more affordable in our communities. We can’t afford to backtrack on this progress. But without enough spaces, too many families are still being left behind. And, years of underfunding and low wages for child care workers is jeopardizing quality care for our kids.

We support the $10-a-day child care plan (also known as the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care plan or CWELCC) and want it improved. Here’s how:

• The federal and provincial governments need to work together to fully fund child care.
• The Ontario government needs to commit to a real plan to create new spaces and a wage grid that delivers fair wages for all Early Childhood Educators and child care workers.
